A Gift from God
A gift from God is special; it is unique; undefinable. Sometimes they come more than most, other times they come very few. However, when they do come, it is a feeling that is truly incredible. A gift from God has no description. Even the word perfect cannot seem to describe such a thing. It is overwhelming to have yet something you feel as if you cannot get enough of. A gift from God can be small or large and is wrapped within His love. You open it gently and over a long course of time. For it is only through patience that it can be receive. Once you have opened it and obtained it you are truly speechless. You can find no words to describe how thankful or how joyous you are and you can only seem to release two words from your lips, "thank you." They seem to be far from enough so you begin to repeat them over and over as if that will help the lack of meaning. In a way it does, though you still feel like there is more to say. As if there are words to describe how you feel that have yet to be invented. You have no way of describing the great-fullness that has over come your body. You fall to your knees and as tears of joy and truth fall from your cheek you whisper the words thank you once more. Your heart feels full and your soul begins to sing with in you, "God is great." This is what a gift from God feels like. They are rare, for most, they come without warning, which is indeed the best way, and they are the best things a person can receive while on this earth. We are not deserving of them, nor are we able to ever give something so powerful back in return. But that is not the point. God gives them because He knows we love that feeling, because He knows we are thankful, because He knows that when we are to our knees sobbing with joy and crying out thank you, that we mean it. Most of all, He gives them to us because He loves us, and it's a time where we can snap back to the reality of it that we in return love Him, almost more than we can know. And within that moment we realize our love for Him, it is that moment that God, too, loves with His whole heart.
