Nehemiah 2:20 - "... the God of heaven, He will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build;"
The building blocks of my life are laid down before me. With the wisdom and strength of The Lord I shall build. I shall build on a strong foundation of His love and protection. I shall follow the directions He has given me and put each block in place one by one based on His timing. I will not skip a step or forget a brick; I will not be distracted or discouraged. Because the life I am building is not for myself. No. It is for Him. My Lord, my Father, my Creator, my God.
When I reach a place in which I am
stuck I shall patiently wait for his guidance. When I begin to loose direction
I will pray for a lantern to guide my way. When a brick brakes I shall not cry,
I will pray for understanding. When supplies is low I shall not fret, I know He
will convey.
The blue prints to my life were
created by the ultimate architect. There is no reason to question his choices
or change his plans. He created this world and all that is in it. His work is
truly magnificent. It would be foolish
to think I could do better.
So I shall indeed build. I will
build my life day by day with the trust that one day when I am finish I will be
able to step back and say, "Oh Lord, look to the life you helped me
create. Look at what I have built for you with what you gave me. I pray it is
good in your eyes because to me it was a gift and joy to build and without you
it would not have succeeded."
