Heaven

There is a place better, than never land.
It has hope, care and a loving hand.
Better than fairy tails or even a story.
With peace, praise and God’s glory.
No one weeps, in pain or deep sorrow.
No one ever worries a fear of tomorrow.
No one hurts in sickness and pain.
No one has hate, curse, or blame.
It’s beautiful with light, love and color.
It’s truly above any, and all other.
You can’t imagine a single place better.
And to get there, is like writing a letter.
Our savior, Jesus. Our Lord and more.
Paid a price, a bounty, a score.
We sin, in disgrace, everyday.
And because of that a price we must pay.
But because of Him our debt is free.
He paid in full, we have no fee.
All we must do is one simple task.
You would not believe, you only must ask.
Ask for forgiveness and mean what you say.
For Jesus meant what he did that day.
He’ll take you up to the place of love.
He’ll carry you up, to Him up above.
But change your life now before it’s too late.
Because once you die you’ll face that gate.
And you’ll have to say if you asked or not.
And if you say no, you’ll die and rot.
The gates will close and Hell will come.
You’ll have to leave and you’ll be done.
But if you say yes, they’ll welcome you in.
For the Book of Life says you’re forgiven of sin.
So again, ask now before it’s too late.
For once you die, there is no more debate.

A Prayer

A true prayer. One that brings you to your knees and draws tears from your eyes. A prayer that speaks your heart and not your mind. A prayer that's honest and meaningful. A prayer that is not repetitive or memorized. A prayer that takes away the breath of your lungs and gives a pain in your stomach because you have never cried so hard and wanted something so bad. A prayer that reminds you what praying really is. Those are the prayers that need to be prayed. Those are the prayers that are being lost in the world we live in. God does not bring you sadness in your life to hurt you. He does not make a loved one sick, a tragedy occur, or a concern strike in order to hurt you. He does it so you are reminded how to pray; how to really pray. We do not do this other wise. Our God is just and loves us. We love him back through prayer. Let us do so.

A Gift from God

A gift from God is special; it is unique; undefinable. Sometimes they come more than most, other times they come very few. However, when they do come, it is a feeling that is truly incredible. A gift from God has no description. Even the word perfect cannot seem to describe such a thing. It is overwhelming to have yet something you feel as if you cannot get enough of. A gift from God can be small or large and is wrapped within His love. You open it gently and over a long course of time. For it is only through patience that it can be receive. Once you have opened it and obtained it you are truly speechless. You can find no words to describe how thankful or how joyous you are and you can only seem to release two words from your lips, "thank you." They seem to be far from enough so you begin to repeat them over and over as if that will help the lack of meaning. In a way it does, though you still feel like there is more to say. As if there are words to describe how you feel that have yet to be invented. You have no way of describing the great-fullness that has over come your body. You fall to your knees and as tears of joy and truth fall from your cheek you whisper the words thank you once more. Your heart feels full and your soul begins to sing with in you, "God is great." This is what a gift from God feels like. They are rare, for most, they come without warning, which is indeed the best way, and they are the best things a person can receive while on this earth. We are not deserving of them, nor are we able to ever give something so powerful back in return. But that is not the point. God gives them because He knows we love that feeling, because He knows we are thankful, because He knows that when we are to our knees sobbing with joy and crying out thank you, that we mean it. Most of all, He gives them to us because He loves us, and it's a time where we can snap back to the reality of it that we in return love Him, almost more than we can know. And within that moment we realize our love for Him, it is that moment that God, too, loves with His whole heart.

An Example

Matthew 12:33
- "Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit."

The decisions I make are crucial. They define who I am for they are all that people see. A person may only know me based on the choices I make and the behavior I embrace. Being a follower of The Lord means I must be and example. My choices must be wise, my decisions must be just, and my behavior must be respectable. However, I can not be wise, just, or respectable without asking God for each. It is only He that can make me a worthy example and it is I who must be willing to be one. Though being an example is indeed of importance it is of greater importance to remember I am no better than any other. I am only being an example for The Lord so others may too see my joy and happiness from God and in return choose to be an example as well. If the followers of God do not act like followers then what will make non followers want to change? It should not only be our job but our passion to lead others to Christ. For with out Christ people will fall, and who are we to keep them from the bridge?

I Forgot

I forgot to remember,
that you know better,
and it's I who must trust in you.
I'm deaf to what I hear,
And I'm far from the near,
But it's you who will show what is true.
I do not see,
what is shown to me,
But you help me from being blind.
You pick up the groun',
So I can't fall down,
And to me you are so kind.
I'm cold when it's warm,
As my heart is torn,
For I hate to make you sad.
For I succeed at failing,
As I continue sinning,
Yet you never seem to get mad.
I shouldn't have,
What you gave,
And yet you still made it mine.
You are so great,
There's no debate,
And your love is truly divine.

He Will Always Be There

"One step at a time," He said to me.
"Steady and slow," He said is the key.
"Take my hand," He then explained.
"And follow my way," He proclaimed.
"I'll keep you safe," He comfortably said.
"Just follow the path that I have led."
I questioned with fear,
"What if you are not near?"
He laughed and replied, "I will always be here."

When it is Time

"So I say to you, ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you." Luke 11:9

- I feel so lost at times. I ask for help, I seek guidance, and I knock at His door. I don't hear an answer, I don't see my path and the door seems to be locked. Yet then I remember God knows better. I will be given when it is time to receive, I will fine when it is time to be found, and I will enter when it is time to come in.
